A word about our warm-weather bonus…

Our normal broadcast day runs from 7:30 to 5:15, but during the spring, summer, and fall months, the longer hours of daylight allow us to bring you some extra programs, along with additional airings of some of your favorites!

At this point you're probably wondering, Well, why not just stay on all night?  We suggested it one time to our station manager, and he told us it was a bad idea for several reasons…
The first is that non-scientific studies show that if you're a regular listener to Christian teaching and talk, then your brain needs some time to rest every day (some stations haven't learned that yet :-) -- otherwise you get this strange disease where you go around impersonating broadcasters and repeating all your favorite programs' addresses and phone numbers.
Plus, Eric, our afternoon on-air guy, occasionally needs to sleep.  He takes his job WAY too seriously, and he'd be here 24/7 trying to keep the station running properly if he never had to sign off.  (He's REALLY cranky when he goes a whole week without sleep.)  And Jenn, our morning gal, has enough trouble getting here in time for 7:30 sign-on.  Also, our on-air computers tell us they need some time to rest.
Finally, the government wouldn't be too happy.  They only let us be on from sunup to sundown -- something to do with how the signals from different AM radio stations bounce off the atmosphere and interfere with each other after sundown.  We decided it might be easier just to sign off than to go to jail.  So -- here we are.
